Christmas Eve

We continued our 2nd Annual Christmas Cookie making party on Christmas Eve day which involved me, Grammy, and way too much help from Tylee. She had fun though, which is really all that matters. When I was digging through the drawer to find the Christmas cookie cutters, Tylee noticed this flower and wouldn't stop begging until she got it. Luckily, Santa doesn't care what shape of cookies he gets. And hopefully, Santa doesn't mind 2-year old germ infested cookies either because there was a lot of double dipping going on. After the cookies were done and the mess was cleaned up, Pom-pom came out and joined us for dinner and presents. Grammy and Pom-Pom were nice enough to get Tylee a Leapster. She loves her "baby puter". After they left, we loaded up and went to town to look at Christmas lights. Much to our delight, Tylee serenaded us the entire way through town singing several seconds behind whatever Christmas song was on. Let me tell ya, that girl can carry a tune! It was very comical. We went through town and found the same Santa on the same roof from when Tj was a little boy. We were the only car around at the time so we rolled down the windows and Santa talked to Tylee. She was in awe but as soon as we pulled away the questions started rolling in. Who knew a 2.5 year old had so many questions about Santa! I hope we can keep our stories straight when she is a little older and truly understands!
We came home and sat out the milk, cookies, and reindeer food and crawled in bed hoping Santa would come...

We drive by Santa on the roof multiple times every Christmas Eve!! We have told my boys that he is just taking a break at that house and that the reindeer are in the back yard. Now that Tenlee is here I hope that he continues to "break' at that house, as it has become one of my favorite parts of Christmas.

Tylee wanted to go back but I felt dumb! Haha. We told her the reindeer were on the other side of the roof and then she wanted to go around the block and see them! Oops! We told her Santa had already moved on to the next house and that we needed to hurry and get home and get to bed because Santa was already in Parsons! It worked for now!
